Original language description
This paper deals with one of the possible solutions to accelerate computationally intensive tasks in signal processing, focusing on speech recognition. The result of our current research is the concept of DSP server that will be able to handle the requirements for fast computation tasks typical for digital signal processing. The concept of "near" and "far" DSP server built on the hardware platform TMS320C64x+ is described. The advantage of this solution is very low power consumption compared to the PC platform and small size of the resulting device.
