Simulation of Hyperthermic Treatment by Using the Matrix of Stripline Applicators
Original language description
This article describes the design of microwave stripline applicator for hyperthermic treatment and the design of anatomically based biological model, which is necessary part of hyperthermia treatment planning to measure the SAR distribution. In this paper we deal with comparison of SAR distribution in cylindrical homogeneous agar phantom (which has similar characteristics as the biological tissue) and in anatomically based biological model of femur (which is developed from computer tomography scan) by using of matrix two applicators of the same type.
