    This paper describes of a particle with a negative refractive index. The particle is created by combining a particle exhibiting a negative permeability and a particle exhibiting negative permitivity in the same frequency band. The paper goes on to describe the frequency characteristic of the transmission phase argS21 for the case of only negative permitivity, for the case of only negative permeability, and for the case when the permittivity and permeability are simultaneously negative.
