Original language description
The paper presents an algorithm for nurse routing and rostering. The objective is to construct routes and the roster for nurses providing services for geographically spread patients. Nurses are located in the hospital and they travel around patients. Thetotal duration of the set of routes is minimized. Routes must satisfy constraints on time windows defining when the visit can be accomplish and the constraints on the duration of the assigned nurse shift. The roster must satisfy constraints on the nurseworkload, balanced shift assignment, forbidden shift combination, etc.
