Measurement of dielectric absorption is one of the oldest non-destructive diagnostic methods of power stators insulating systems for rotating electrical machines. ČEZ absorption measurements carried out on generators for many years. During these years, have changed the isolating systems. The ageing of insulating systems, the composition with the development of new materials changing, this method may lead to different results. The article is based on real measurements at selected generators shown correlation between the measurement dielectric absorption, the measurement of loss factors and the real state of isolation during the life of these machines.
