Practical compress and forward latency reducing implementation as an example of distributive decoding
Original language description
The paper addresses a concrete implementation of the compress and forward strategy in distributed systems. As a main part of this implementation a Per-Symbol Decoding Metric Sufficient Statistics (PSyDMSS) is introduced. The PSyDMSS allows a lossless symbol-wise processing of the coded sequence instead of the full decoding in the relay. An appreciable latency reduction without any corruption of the performance might be achieved using the proposed PSyDMSS. Surprisingly, the introduced PSyDMSS turns out to be a concrete example of the compress and forward strategy.
