    Comparing Pitch Detection Algorithms for Voice Applications

    The article deals mainly with objective comparisons of pitch-detection algorithms (PDAs) in area of speech signals processing. For this purpose evaluation framework was developed using for comparisons reference pitch database. A set of objective criteriawas established too. All tested algorithms are also briefly described, new method MNFBC is presented in detail. Results show the biggest bottleneck in voice/unvoiced decision stage for the most of tested algorithms. Optimal time resolution for PDA is discussed too.
