Formant analysisis - vowel detection of children with developmental dysphasia.
Original language description
One area where researchers are applying tested mathematical engineering methods is that of helping people with different forms of disabilities. Our research in this area is focused on searching for the relation between clinical and electrophysiological symptoms of children with developmental dysphasia (DD).This contribution focuses on the problem of vowel detection in children with DD. The speech analysis is based on formants frequency. The specific-ity of this method consists of the fact that it is built on the physiological elementals of the resonant system of vocal cords. This idea is used for the detection of vowels.
