Weak Points of Current Sensors in Static Energy Meters

  • Original language description

The energy meters with dual core current transformers, that measure energy consumption of inductive or capacitive load and DC magnetic flux is present in the core, measure with the errors up to few tens of percentage. It is due to saturation of high permeability and it causes the step change of phase displacement. This change in dependence on the distance between permanent magnet and current transformer can be up to tens of degrees. The article deals with these errors and shows them in dependence on thetype of load.
