Original language description
The aim of the FRSH/FORB resource reservation framework is to facilitate the development of complex real-time applications. To test the applicability of this framework for real applications an extensive distributed multimedia case-study that uses the framework was developed. It utilizes resource reservations for CPU, disk and Wi-Fi network. It uses multiple cameras to capture the video, which is then compressed, transmitted over Wi-Fi network and stored on a computer disk. Furthermore, there is a possibility of transferring video from the disc to "central station" and displayed on the screen. The study compared the parameters gathered when the application run with and without the framework.
