Planar Materials Electromagnetic Shielding Efficiency Derivation
Original language description
Detailed and complete derivation of published models misses in scientific literature and published approximated equations differ from each other in many cases. It can cause unwanted repetition of mistakes in published equations. This paper is therefore focused on derivation of electromagnetic shielding efficiency of planar materials. Derivation obviates discrepancy published in scientific literature and consequently possible incorrect applications in technical practice. Results of modeling and measurement show a strong dependence of shielding efficiency and material electric conductivity and related equivalent sheet model thickness. This result is in accordance with practical experience from EMC branch.
