    Sources of Distortion of Impulse Signal in Ultra Wideband Devices

  • Original language description

    This paper discusses the circuits that are incorporated usually in ultra wideband devices (e.g. radar, communication and localization devices). They are studied from the impulse distortion point of view. The following components can be considered: impulse generator, amplifier, sampling circuitry, antennas and timing circuits. Moreover, the environment, where the impulse signal is propagated, is also taken into account. The aim of the paper is to localize sources of the transmitted impulse distortion andformulate design hints or methods of the distortion minimization.
