Original language description
We report about design of 1 x 2 and 1 x 4 polymer power optical Y-branches. First we design single mode polymer optical structure than optical 1x2 splitters were design by using BeamPROP software and finally optical power splitter 1x4 was proposed. EpoxyNovolak Resin polymer was chosen as core waveguides layer due to excellent optical properties and easy fabrication process. Silica on silicon layer was used as substrates and Polymethylmethacrylate was used as protection cover layer. Design structures were fabricated by photolithography process and optical properties were measured by Metricon prison system.
