In May 2010, the European Commission and the Council approved an update of 2010/31/EU directive - the Energy Performance of buildings EPBD II. Among other things, this amendment defines obligation for building zero energy consumption building in the EU'sfrom the 31December 2020. Photovoltaic panels are an essential part of passive and zero buildings, those they help meet the strict criteria of building's energy performance. This paper describes the life cycle assessment (LCA) for photovoltaic (PV) power plants using eco invent database.
