Using of Frequency Swept Signals for Metal Detection
Original language description
In this paper sing of frequency swept signals for eddy current metal detector is described. The main task for researchers is to minimize false alarms which count up to 99.9 % of total alarms. Better discrimination must be done to distinguish between mineand scrap metals. Experimental data measured by search head of metal detector ATMID excited with frequency swept signal are presented. For differentiate between different objects amplitude and phase or polar graphs are presented. On the basis of these polar graphs better identification of the buried object (i.e. Anti-Personnel mines) should be done. As a testing target various spheres from different materials and sizes placed in the open air were used.
