Adaptive Techniques in Free-Space Optical Networks
Original language description
Free-space optical link is an alternative instrument to transmission of information in data rates up to tens gigabits per second. Although evolution of this technology proceeds several years, many factors still affect propagation of optical beam. Therefore several mitigation techniques are used or in a state of research. Between the most significant appertain beam tracking, adaptive optics, diversity techniques or new modulation schemes. In this paper, diversity techniques are discussed. First result from a measurement campaign are introduced.
