The BallCam is a specialized camera system consisting of six HD video cameras mounted in a ball like setup. The device can be used to capture panoramic videos on the trajectory of the ball when it gets thrown in the air. The BallCam can also be used forcapturing video from a rolling ball on a surface. The prototype serves to capture data for researching new algorithms for image processing and registration and for synthetizing novel views from the processed video sequences.
