Original language description
This paper briefly describes the Mathematica notebook (.nb file), that was developed as a tutorial for introduction for students of electrical engineer-ing to the advanced computational tool. There are several similar tools e.g. Matlab, Maple, etc., although it is desirable, that student have at least basic knowledge of all of them. However, the main purpose of the tutorial is not an introduction into the Mathematica system, but get student acquainted with the optimization methods available as the built-in functions or implementation of other algorithms, that are not yet implemented in Mathematica. Moreover there are several examples of advanced optimization methods applied to the problems of electrical engineering in the tutorial.
