Original language description
The paper deals with the design of method for primary screening of atherosclerosis based on hemodynamic parameters. The method combines sensing of blood pressure using two-cuffs system with sensing of plethysmography and electro-cardiography signals. Thedesigned method provides not only the measurement of blood pressure as a standard parameter of cardiovascular system, but also the measurement of several hemodynamic parameters such as pulse wave velocity (PWV) or arterial stiffness index (ASI). The design and realization of the device for measuring parameters given above are also described in the paper.
