Methods for Improving Efficiency in High Frequency Circuit Simulation
Original language description
There is no doubt that the SPICE has become the most widely used program for computer simulation of electrical circuits. The key to success of SPICE lies in various kind of analysis such as operating point, sensitivity, transient analysis and many others, which SPICE program can perform. The algorithms used for evaluation of simulation are based on iterative chain of numerical operations, which mostly involve solving of nonlinear differential equations, numerical integration and LU transformation. Thispaper gives simple overview about weak points of the simulation chain and introduces implementation of new algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency of the simulation.
