Original language description
The main contribution of the paper is the model of the production covering alternative process plans while the total production cost, composed of two different parts, is minimized. First, the representation of the problem using the notation of the resource constrained project scheduling problem is proposed. Next, we have developed two different heuristic algorithms for the large instances of the problem, namely a discrete differential evolution and a scatter search algorithm. Finally, evaluation of bothalgorithms on a wide set of benchmarks is provided.
