Aspects of Influence of the Microphone Attachment in HRTF Measuring
Original language description
Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) is a key for creating virtually positioned sound for Virtual Acoustic Spaces (VAS), which can be presented as acoustic part of virtual reality. HRTF can be obtained by measuring process when two miniature microphonesare inserted in subject's ear. The most important elements which strongly affect the correctness of the measurement and also the time efficiency, is the in-ear microphone attachment. This paper deals with evaluation of various microphone attachments andcompares its suitability as by examining the various spectral features, as by creating virtually positioned sound with HRTF measured with different attachment and performing listening tests.
