Original language description
This paper deals with a measurement which could be used to evaluate automatically and objectively stuttered speech. The measurement employes the voice activity detector (VAD) and time thresholds to reveal repeated parts of speech. The suitability of parameter to measure the speech disorder severity is examined by comparison with hand-made evaluation. The achieved agreement of automatic method and incomplete syllable repetition is 0.94. This parameter could become a part of the automatic and objective evaluation system.
