Original language description

This paper deals with a measurement which could be used to evaluate automatically and objectively stuttered speech. The measurement employes the voice activity detector (VAD) and time thresholds to reveal re­peated parts of speech. The suitability of parameter to measure the speech disorder severity is examined by com­parison with hand-made evaluation. The achieved agree­ment of automatic method and incomplete syllable repeti­tion is 0.94. This parameter could become a part of the automatic and objective evaluation system.
