Original language description
A computer program for practical design of equiripple notch FIR filters is presented. The algebraic design is compared with the numerical Parks-McClellan procedure. The superiority of the presented algebraic design over the numerical procedure in terms of the available degree formula and in terms of the robustness of the design is emphasized. Two examples are included. The Matlab source code of the design is provided.
