Frequency Domain Modification Filter in Correlation Methods for Epilepsy Seizure Detection in EEG Monitoring for Ictal SPECT
Original language description
This paper presents one of approaches to onset seizure detection usable for early warn for ictal SPECT scan examination. Described method is correlation analysis of multichannel electroencephalographic signals. We use time segments of signals to calculate cross correlation over all channels and evaluate time progress of correlation coefficients. The article also discusses the issue of filtering signals and describes in detail the Frequency domain modification filter. This filter offer many more possibilities by modification of the Fourier image of the signal, which allows almost unlimited changes of spectrum in the frequency domain. These properties makes this filter very suitable for processing EEG signal for correlation analysis. Its advantages are described and shown in figures in comparison with other possible filters.
