    Optimisation Target Base Station Selection Based on Fuzzy Logic

    In conventional handoff the mobile device monitors received signal power levels, and exchanges this data with Base Station (BS). Current BS assesses the data, makes decision about handoff execution and chooses target BS. By using fuzzy logic it is possible to use multiple parameters that the handoff decision can be based on. Here, mainly the distance from target BS, used bandwidth in target BS cell and mobile station velocity. Fuzzy logic algorithm will be able to provide decision about encouraging or discouraging handoff initiation. It will check which of the possible target base stations is the best candidate.
