    Heat transfer in PEMFC

  • Original language description

The paper shows at the example of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) the heat transfer through all layers of fuel cell. After short presentation of principle of fuel cells, a PEMFC is introduced and for one specific configuration, the heat transfer is computed by MATLAB. The problem of heat management for high temperature fuel cells such Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) utilized in houses and apartments is outlined, but because of a contemporary lack of valid data due to high cost of the SOFC, thedeeper research at universities has to be postponed in the future.
