Power Network Losses Minimization in Correlation with Voltage Security
Original language description
Selecting network parameters to achieve optimal power flow with minimal active power losses is very important for utility companies from economical point of view, on other side there is necessity of maintaining the network in the safe distance from voltage collapse. This paper discusses general problem of minimization of power network losses and classification of variables and parameters for power system safety operation assessment. The article's main goal is to study local safety in specific node and evaluate its correlation to active power losses. Safety factor, used in the article, is proportionate to the smallest distance of working point [R, Q, U] of a node from the set of critical points, which is determined on the basis of the Tevenine model. Overall stability factor (based on all single node factors) is calculated for all network setups (transformer taps and generator output voltages) and it is determined whether the most optimal setup is safe enough or if there is safer soluti
