Segmentation for registration of histological cuts
Original language description
This report aims to present a project for the summer school AMBIA 2011. The task is related to a project in medical images analysis. For analysis of a tissue sample we need to combine information from multiple differently stained histological cuts. To doso we have to register several colour images from the image set together. Because of large differences in the appearance, we plan to use a registration based on segmentation. This report describes our first attempts at finding a suitable segmentation method. In the beginning we speak about the motivation and define the task. Further, we present the method and its implementation. In the end we show and discuss the results.
