Original language description
The paper deals the issue of possibility of Smart Grids modeling, by using the method used for modeling behavior of telecommunication systems. The term Smart Grids is used to designate an intelligent power distribution network widely using computer technology to better link producers and consumers of electricity. Smart Grids emphasize the increase of automation of monitoring and control of electrical distribution networks for added reliability, efficiency and cost effective operations. The telecommunications went through a similar process in last decades. It has resulted in definition of a unified business process model of telecommunications operator (eTOM). The paper addresses the question whether it is possible to apply the experience gained in telecommunications to Smart Grids. The core of the paper is a versatile analysis eTOM operation processes with respect to their applicability for Smart Grids management.
