    Utilization of Air Pressure Resonant Sensors for Calibrating Aircraft Aerometric Instruments

    This paper presents a system for calibrating aircraft altimeters, airspeed indicators, Mach number indicators and vertical speed indicators, or complex systems for measuring these quantities. The system is based on two resonant sensors of absolute air pressure to frequency. The first converter converts the absolute air pressure corresponding to the flight altitude, while the second converts the absolute value of the total pressure corresponding to the flight speed to the frequency. This is measured by acounter controlled by a PC, which calculates the individual quantities. The values of the measured quantities are presented on a display, and they can then be printed or saved. An important part of the system is the calibration of the two pressure sensors, which is performed using a precise barometer.
