A Perfect Lens for Ballistic Electrons

  • Original language description

The analogy between plane electromagnetic waves and electron waves is presented and subsequently applied to the description of a quantum perfect lens. The natural constraints resulting from available semiconductor compounds are discussed. The final lensdesign relies on the inverted bandstructure of the HgTe compound, and uses a voltage gate to created the lens structure.
