    Our Laboratory of Artificial Neural Network Applications (LANNA) cooperates for many years with child neurology clinic in Motol Hospital. We are interested in developmental dysphasia of children between 6 to 10 years old. Our main aim is to find differences in speech of children with specific language impairment and healthy children. These children have problem with understanding speech and also in producing speech. We created many sophisticated methods to find the degree of developmental dysphasia, inthis paper I want to show the simple way how to diagnose the developmental dysphasia using the length of pronunciation. The method is based on the comparison of pronunciation length between healthy children and children with developmental dysphasia. Thepaper shows the differences in length among many types of utterances, and the length relates to the difficulty of pronunciation of utterances.
