Original language description
This work deals with an automatic generation of local search optimization algorithms for real-parameter optimizations. It proposes an hyper-heuristic based on genetic programming that evolves programs composed of operators derived from Nelder-Mead simplex algorithm. Proof-of-concept experiments were carried out to show an ability of the hyper-heuristic to evolve efficient local search routines for low dimensional search spaces. Achieved results are promising as they show that the hyper-heuristic is ableto evolve local search routines competitive with the baseline Nelder-Mead one.
