Design and Implementation of the Control System of the Operational Ventilation in the Blanka Tunnel
Original language description
This paper presents a design and an implementation of a control system of the operational ventilation in the Blanka tunnel, which is the most complicated road tunnel complex in Central Europe. The ventilation system of the tunnel is relatively complex and is divided into two subsystems ? longitudinal and transverse. Energy consumption optimization during the operation is necessary because of high costs of energy. Our control system is based on mathematical models of traffic, airflow and exhaust fumes. The implemented predictive algorithm controls both ventilation subsystems to fulfill emission limits inside the tunnel and to minimize exhaust fumes from the tunnel junctions with minimal amount of energy.
