The cold atmospheric pressure plasma generated by the negative corona discharge has inhibition effect on the microorganism growth. This well-known effect can be demonstrated on the surface of cultivation agar plates by the formation of inhibition zones.This paper is a review of the author research on the field of plasma surface decontamination. Author has focused on a separation imminent and outlying decontamination effects of direct plasma treatment using a) several expositions with different spatialand time arrangement, b) bent needle to plane electrode configuration system. The effect of particular factors of cold atmospheric pressure (CAP) plasma decrease with distance. Where the near treatment means direct interaction between CAP and treated surface, whereas the far treatment means interaction between the sample surface and long-living plasma products outside the active plasma region.
