Comparison of Ontological Backends for Object-Oriented Applications
Original language description
Object-oriented applications need highly optimized access to ontological backends. This access involves queries for CRUD operations that have very specific form and thus allow for optimizations. This poster presents, how well the current state-of-art RDFand OWL storages are prepared and optimized for the task of serving data to the object-oriented applications. We compare two fundamental OWL storages ? OWLIM and Stardog. Additionally, although not being an OWL backend, Parliament is also discussed as its indexing strategy seems promising for the CRUD scenario.
