The paper deals with the design of an optical part of a WDM transceiver for G-PON networks based on volume holographic grating triplexer (VHGT) with circle topology of the transceiver optical part. This micro-optical system offers an alternative solutionof WDM transceivers and can be used as a WDM multiplexer and demultiplexer of wavelength 1310, 1490 and 1550 nm in ONU (ONT) devices. This micro-optical wavelength distribution system is imaging transmission system consisting of collimating cylindricallenses in the circle topology with the VHGT filter placed in the middle of the circle. The article is focused on detailed description of the bidirectional micro-optical insertion system of the WDM transceiver optical part. The insertion system is described by ray matrix.
