Method for offset suppression in orthogonal fluxgate with annealed wire core
Original language description
This papers proposes a method for annealing an amorphous wire to be used as core for orthogonal fluxgate in fundamental mode, avoiding growth of offset and hysteresis in its characteristic. This is obtained by identifying the working point where the effective longitudinal field applied to the wire is null. By using this method we both suppress the offset and reduce the noise of the magnetometer, which reaches 1 pT/root Hz at 1 Hz.
