    The paper presents possible usage for the newly designed system for the mesopic photometry MES2, based on the visual performance at the real conditions in the field of the road lighting. The analysis of the changes of the luminous flux was made for the group of luminaires with the different spectral distribution, which occur. For the same luminaires were determined the potential value/level of energy saving in the comparison of their operation with High Pressure Sodium (HPS) light sources in the field of mesopic vision. The paper also deals with the analysis of angle of view in the field of mesopic vision quite differently by the description of static visual situations and compares.
