*Multi-view Sport Player Tracking using Probabilistic Occupancy Maps
Original language description
*We present a robust solution for sport player tracking based on two major concepts. Information from multiple cameras is fused into a Probabilistic Occupancy Map for every frame. Player trajectories are then found in a sequence of Probabilistic Occupancy Maps using the K-Shortest Paths algorithm. We improved the image preprocessing phase and quantitatively evaluated the results on two datasets. The tracking system does not use visual cues to discriminate targets but still exhibits low number of identity switches. We demonstrate that the system does not need a redundant camera coverage of an observed area.
