Development of Inertial Navigation System Using Tactical Grade Sensors
Original language description
The navigation systems which provide the attitude, position and velocity of an object play a key role in many applications. The accuracy of them depends on used sensors. Nowadays, the low-cost MEMS based inertial sensors are used but they are not able toprovide position and velocity as a standalone system and thus they need to be aided by other sources of information. To develop the standalone system, which can provide navigation solution independently, there must be utilized more precise inertial sensors with resolution at least 100 times better than in the case of MEMS. This paper presents the development of inertial navigation system using tactical grade inertial sensors. The proposed system consists of three quartz accelerometers INN-204 with analogue output and three digital fiber optic gyroscopes DSP-3100. The data are preprocessed by means of compensation of deterministic sensors errors, temperature compensation, data decimation and pre-filtering using FIR digital filter. The n
