    Spatial Correlation of Vertical Gradient of Refractivity on Large Scales

  • Original language description

    Spatial distribution maps of the vertical gradient of atmospheric refractivity are derived from a global dataset of meteorological quantities as given by ERA-Interim reanalysis. Spatial correlation of the gradient on large scales is analyzed using data from the European region. The examples of time evolution of the gradient fields are presented and spatial correlation characteristics obtained are discussed. Index Terms?tropospheric propagation, atmospheric refractivity, refractivity gradient, spatial correlation.
