SIP protocol model for OMNET++
Original language description
OMNeT++ simulation framework provides an extensive support of IP related protocols, neverthe-less a SIP protocol implementation is missing. This article describes our new SIP protocol implementation for the OMNeT++ simulation framework. Real measurements were also done using a SIPp trac generator and the results are compared to those obtained by simulation model. Since this work is a part of bigger project concerned strictly on measuring "first response time" over networks with a faulty transmission links, all the collected statistics are focused this way. Many other types of statistics can be collected of course, but this was not a goal for now.
