Automated Optimization of Functional Recorded Tests
Original language description
Functional automated testing of software systems represents a challenge. Rapidly changing systems and Agile processes require delivering automation as soon as possible. Good test maintenance in this environment attracts more attention. In this paper, wepresent a test recoding technique enhanced by post-processing finding reusable routines in tests. We use computed data about tests to create a hierarchical structure of reusable functions on top of the test recordings. Reusable functions help automationengineers to maintain test suites and to decrease the overhead of test maintenance related to the inefficient test recording approach. Experimental results from verification of the solution on an industrial project are promising.
