Microwave System with Enhanced Capability to Detect, Identify and Localize Moving Targets
Original language description
The patent describes a new microwave radar sensor structure capable of detecting, localizing and identifying threatening missiles rapidly flying in the immediate vicinity of the radar. The system is based on the use of "Leaky-Wave" antennas and allows activation of several different operating modes and several parallel detection and measuring planes. The proposed structure is adaptable, working modes and detection planes can be switched very quickly, according to the current position of the threatening missiles. The intended use is in systems of active protection of combat vehicles. ### The patent is exploited by its owner.
