Original language description
The main goal is development and innovation of linear electromechanical actuators for use in motion platforms with six degrees of freedom. Technical requirements are high dynamics (velocity 0.5 – 1 m/s), high load capacity (500 kg) and compact design suitable for mounting into parallel mechanism. Development work will start from an existing actuator and will be focused on lifetime lengthening, noise reduction and better variability of the actuator (stroke, type and power of the driving motor etc.). Expected results are prototype of the linear actuator, research study dealing with the possibility of using linear actuators without mechanical transformation from rotary motion into linear motion and research report summarizing the load and lifetime test of the new actuator.
