The case study of prediction model application on sound insulation improvement respectively airborne sound insulation of massive wall after the measures by external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) is focused on here. Two prediction models were compared and the impact of eight different thermal insulation variants was investigated. Beside of excepted resonance dip shift caused by dynamic stiffness increasing, also quantitative effect of ETICS on sound reduction index was presented. The modified prediction model was introduced as well.
