Original language description
The AViSOK v1.0 software evaluates the encircled flux (EF) parameter from CCD-based sensors data. The software enables analysis of particular multimode optical fibers (from OM1 to OM5) and as well large diameter optical fibers with step-index profile as e.g. plastic optical fibers. Along with EF, software tool for optical power measurement and probe inspection of the optical fiber surface are included. The measured mode field profiles are combined with dark images to reduce noise level and then processed and evaluated in terms of EF. The complete analysis includes optical beam centering, background noise reduction, power normalization and finally EF evaluation. The EF results are then compared to the limits given by standard IEC 940/09.
