This document contains the first prototype of the methodological part of the IoT QA framework developed by Quality Assurance System for Internet of Things Technology project (TH02010296), funded by the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic. This methodology contains: 1. Description of specifics of the IoT projects and their consequences for effective and efficient testing of IoT systems, 2. Configuration method to determine optimal testing strategy for particular IoT project, 3. A set of specific test design techniques created or tailored for the needs of IoT project, which employs the Model-based Testing (MBT) approach, 4. Guidelines to determine optimal level and structure of automation of designed tests for particular IoT project, and, 5. Proposal of metrics for measurement of quality and functionality of IoT solutions.
